Colman has been leading for months thanks to his staggering $22.3 million in live tournament earnings.

That was enough to earn Colman the #1 spot on the Bluff Magazine, CardPlayer and Global Poker Index leaderboards, which haven’t always been in agreement.

It was an incredible year for the online heads-up Sit & Go specialist who prior to 2014 had less than $500,000 in lifetime tournament earnings.

$15.3m One Drop Score Highlights Record Year

Colman famously won the Big One for One Drop in the summer for $15 million but he also won more than $7 million in various other high roller tournaments.

Colman became the biggest winner in a single year by over $3 million, surpassing even Antonio Esfandiari who won $19 million in 2012 in large part thanks to winning the Big One for One Drop.

Even Erik Seidel’s incredible $6.5 million in 2011 seems like a distant memory now.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about Colman’s achievement is that we may never see him at a poker tournament again.

He’s talked repeatedly about leaving poker altogether in the New Year.

Regardless of whether he plays much poker in the future his achievement will likely stand for a long, long time.

Here’s one last look at every major score Colman had in 2014:

April 24 - EPT Grand Final €100k High Roller - 1st Place: $2.1 million June 29 - WSOP Big One for One Drop - 1st Place: $15.3 million Aug 18 - EPT Barcelona €100k High Roller - 2nd Place: $1.1 million Aug 28 - Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open - 1st Place: $1.4 million Oct 6 - WPT Alpha8 London - 1st Place: $957,396 Nov. 1 - APPT Macau HK$500k High Roller - 7th Place: $373,932
