A booming WPT Five Diamond main event is down to just 33 players from the starting field of 586 with the gregarious Fang on top heading to Day 5.
Fang, who's mostly remembered for his turn at the feature table on the 2013 WSOP broadcast, bagged 1,311,000 overnight to lead Isaac Baron (1m), Ryan Fee (996,000) and Garrett Greer (979,000).
Also bringing a stack into Day 5 is Daniel Negreanu, who caused a slight bit of controversy over "buying" a stack on Day 2 thanks to unlimited rebuys available.
Negreanu ended up buying in five times and made it to the end of Day 4 with 378,000.
He'll still have to turn his below-average stack into something more to get near the final six and a shot at a second career WPT 5 Diamond title.
The current top six:
1. Yi Fang 1,311,000 2. Isaac Baron 1,012,000 3. Ryan Fee 996,000 4. Garrett Greer 979,000 5. Jared Jaffee 967,000 6. Keven Stammen 932,000
