This week there were big pots shipped between Julius KagomeKagome Fletcher and Alexandre alexonmoon Luneau.

The German managed to get the upper hand and added $522k to his bankroll. In addition Alexander Kostritsyn and Cort Kibler-Melby both added to their successful years with huge scores.

It Starts with TheCortster

Even after the demise of Viktor Blom and Gus Hansen, the $2k/$4k 2-7 Triple Draw games are the epicenter of high-stakes online poker.

Sunday and Monday, Cort Thecortster Kibler-Melby and French player Alexandre alexonmoon Luneau battled it out, and the German-American player turned out to be the clear winner.

They played four sessions and Kibler-Melby won every single one of them, eventually taking $230k from the Frenchman.

Unfortunately for Luneau, who recently moved to London to live with his friend Sebastien Seb86 Sabic and is now specializing on Mixed and Drawing games, this was only the beginning of a horrific week.

Alex Kostritsyn just keeps winning.

Luneau’s battle with KagomeKagome proved to be especially damaging.

On Thursday, alexonmoon still managed to get away with a loss of only $50k, playing Triple Draw heads-up.

The day after that, it was time for KagomeKagome to hit hard.

Luneau lost more than $350k to Fleischer on this day alone and he seemed to be fed up playing the German afterwards.

After a very successful 2014, Luneau lost a quarter of his winnings within three days.

The most successful player is still Alexander Kostritsyn, who continues to consistently post big wins.

Even after he lost $100k last week as PostflopAction on FullTilt, he is still the number one player.

Because, at the same time, he won $200k on Friday as joiso on PokerStars from unknown player vandi4rek, playing one his favorite games: FL08.

Biggest Pot of the Week

Rui Cao
PepperoniF for everyone!

There were no huge pots in online poker last week. The most expensive hand played out as low as $50/$100 PLO, and the pot didn’t grow over $67k.

Rui PepperoniF Cao was playing unknown player MaroonLime heads-up. Pre-flop, MaroonLime had raised to $300, and Cao 3-bet to $900. There was a call, which led to a flop of:

Cao checked and then called a bet of $1250. The turn was the

And now Cao took the lead with a bet of $3500. But MaroonLime wasn’t impressed. He raised to $14k and saw a call by Cao. The river was the

Now Rui Cao reverted to checking again, but then called the all-in of his opponent. The showdown made it clear that it hadn’t been a particularly difficult decision.

MaroonLime:

Maroonlime had been ahead until the river and then got sucked out by a higher full house.
