The site announced the signing yesterday via press release, introducing Politano - the first-ever Brazilian player to make the World Series of Poker Main Event November Nine - as its newest ambassador.

With Brazil one of the fastest-growing poker markets in the world, Politano joins fellow Brazilians Nicolau Villa-Lobos and Bruno Kuwaiti on Team888.

Also on Team888 are rising stars Xuan Liu and Sofia Lövgren.

Entrepreneur First But Poker Player Not Far Behind

A poker player for over 12 years Politano has some impressive results on his résumé including two final tables in the Brazilian Series of Poker in 2012 and 2013.

Online, where he plays under the nickname "Foster18," Politano's racked up over $300k in earnings despite poker being only a part-time proposition.

Politano's primary occupation is running a retail store that sells purses, shoes, belts, etc but his $730k score for making the November Nine has put his business obligations on the backburner.

He'll be bringing a massive and amped up Brazilian rail with him to Las Vegas in November where he'll try to secure the $10m first-place prize.

He'll enter the final table as the short stack however with 12,125,000 in chips.

"It's the best moment in my life in poker," Politano told us the day after he locked down his spot in the November Nine.

"Brazil is a community of brothers. Everybody supports everybody. Brazilian guys rail for each other, pray for each other. If you are good, everybody's good.

"It's a power moment for Brazilians."
