In today’s Daily 3-Bet we’ll look at Sam Trickett passing on a huge prop bet, Shannon Shorr reaching the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro and the mysterious Mr. Dyzzl.
1) Trickett Escapes £50k Arm Wresting Ringer
Ah the life of high roller Sam Trickett.
Traveling around the world, getting kicked out of nightclubs, battling Asian billionaires in Macau and winning $10.1 million in the Big One for One Drop.
At least it’s never boring. Trickett wrote about one of the oddest experiences he’s ever had on his Everest Poker Blog earlier this week.
Apparently Trickett was on break from playing poker at the Palm Beach Club in London and was propositioned by an older gentleman to arm wrestle.
Trickett immediately wanted to wager £500 but the man kept asking to raise the stakes until they arrived at a staggering £50,000.
Just as they were getting close to finalizing the deal Trickett smelled something fishy and asked some other people in the poker room if they knew anything about his opponent. Apparently the man had never lost an arm wrestling match.
Trickett wisely decided not to go through with the bet and probably saved himself £50,000 in the process. Never boring.
2) Shannon Shorr Tops Mount Kilimanjaro
Shannon Shorr has conquered plenty of metaphorical mountains over his poker career but this weekend he reached the top of a real one.
Shorr summited Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania on Friday with a few friends and a couple guides. Incredibly Shorr is already down the mountain and has since traveled to Barcelona in anticipation of EPT100.
Shorr is one of those guys that has made the most of a poker life that includes quite a bit of travel. He mentioned in his blog that he’s now been to every continent except for Antarctica and honestly we wouldn’t be surprised if he rectified that shortly.
It’s part of the reason Shorr was nominated for the Most Inspiring category in our Spirit of Poker Awards, which will take place in Malta this November. To vote for Shorr just head to our Spirit of Poker page.

Foosball world champ/poker pro Billy Pappas is already the runaway success story of the 2014 WSOP November Nine.
He’s been generating plenty of news in the mainstream media and was recently featured in a story by his hometown Lowell Sun.
It’s an interesting interview in general but there was some information they couldn't nail down about how Pappas actually got himself into the Main Event.
While he wouldn't name the man who staked him the $10,000 (and who is certainly in for a cut), he did say he wanted to give special thanks to "Mr. Dyzzl" -- a mystery man if ever there was one.
Time to start the speculation!
Nothing really comes up when you search "Mr. Dyzzl poker. It iis somewhat reminiscent of Matt Marafioti’s Adzizzy handle, although we very much doubt it’s him. Let us know if you have a better idea.
Regardless of whom he is Mr. Dyzzl is already a very happy man - and could be even more so come November.
