One of the first players to hit the magical 1 million-chip mark, Liporace finished with 1,128,000 for top spot.
He's just one big blind ahead of Mehrdad Yousefzadeh, though, who bagged up 1,124,000.
Rounding out the top 5 are Spaniard Raul Mestre (988,500), Jesse Wilke (975,500) and Scott Blackman (935,000).
Benger Rises, Ivey Idles, Pierce Busts
With the money bubble appraoching fast at 683 players plenty of big names made their moves to the top of the counts.
David Tuthill (850,500), Dan Smith (817,000), Griffin Benger (792,500), John Kabbaj (780,000) and Ali Eslami (770,000) all climbed into the top 25 to end the night.
Kenny Tran (728,500), Martin Jacobson (721,500), Ola Amundsgard (644,000) and Ankush Mandavia (624,000) also ended Day 3 well stacked.
Chip leader coming into Day 3, the great Phil Ivey, didn't generate quite the momentum he did on Day 2c but still finished with a healthy 522,500.
NBA star Paul Pierce, who went a long way to changing the perception of athletes as poker players, lasted into the last level before falling to the rail with a lesser two-pair.
