Feel free to throw a suggestion for a future 3-Bet piece in the comments section below.

In today’s WSOP 3-Bet we’ll take a look at Daniel Negreanu going on the defence for Mike Matusow, a rare photo of Isai Scheinberg and Pierre Neuville in position for a WSOP bracelet.

Even The Mouth needs defenders!

Poker superstar Daniel Negreanu is the latest player to climb on board the Mike Matusow didn’t deserve a penalty for excessive celebration train.

Negreanu posted a quick blog post defending Matusow earlier today and asking for changes to be made to the TDA rules. His main argument is that Matusow wasn’t even given a warning about his excessive celebrations despite the fact he was deep in the tournament:

That needs to change. I don't know how to make it change, but I needed to say something. We need to stop taking ourselves so seriously. [Floorman] Dave Lamb thought Mike celebrated excessively. Several of the players in the tournament disagreed and showed their support for Mike via twitter. Unfortunately, that can't be reversed at this point, but I'm hoping that in the future we can all agree that a TD shouldn't have such a heavy influence on the outcome of a tournament, ESPECIALLY without first issuing a warning.

2) A Swan Song for PokerStars’ Scheinbergs

PokerStars’ Isai Scheinberg has been arguably the most important man in online poker for nearly a decade and yet the vast majority of poker fans wouldn’t even recognize the man.

That changed today as Bloomberg posted a photo of both Isai and his son Mark Scheinberg, who is the current CEO of PokerStars.

Of course with news Amaya Gaming is taking over PokerStars, that means the Scheinbergs are finished with online poker. On the bright side it gives the company a legitimate crack at entering the US market.

So take a good look at two people who changed the poker world before they move on to other ventures. That's Mark on the left and Isai on the right. Photo from Bloomberg.

3) SOPA Nominee Pierre Neuville Heads-Up for a Bracelet

Both Dan Heimiller and George Danzer have won WSOP bracelets after being nominated for a PokerListings Spirit of Poker Award. Is it Pierre Neuville’s turn?

The savvy Belgian is heads-up for a bracelet against Kevin Eyster and despite a 2-1 chip disadvantage could very well end today with a gold bracelet on his wrist.

Amazingly Neuville is heads-up ultra-competitive $5,000 6-Max NLHE event, which is a favorite of young online pros.

Neuville, who won an award in the This is 50+ category in the Spirit of Poker Awards last year, simply refuses to be passed by upstart young players.

Known as a satellite master, Neuville has qualified for countless EPTs, acquired $1.6 million in tournament earnings but is still seeking his first WSOP bracelet.

Neuville has already outlasted online killers Andrew Lichtenberger and Bryn Kenney in the $5k 6-Max event. First place pays out $622,998.

Overnight counts:

Kevin Eyster - 5,515,000 Pierre Neuville - 2,605,000
