Got a tip for a future 3-Bet? Drop a note in the comments and we'll gladly take a look.

Today in the 3-Bet we find Doyle Brunson with a million-dollar shortage, Phil Hellmuth gives away the secrets to winning the WSOPE Main Event (for one easy payment) and Jason Somerville and Rob Cesternino get together for the ultimate poker/Survivor mashup.

1) Doyle Out of Big One ... For Now

We're still trying to wrap our heads around this ... and now this?

I probably won't play the one drop tournament. If someone wants to put me in let me know, I just don't have a spare million laying around.

— Doyle Brunson (@TexDolly) May 12, 2014

What sort of topsy-turvy poker underworld do we now live in where Jean-Robert Bellande can walk up to the Rio with a duffel bag of cash bricks and the Godfather of Poker is cash poor?

Empty your pockets, poker pros. We must avert the apocalypse before the Big One, for this is surely one of the seven signs.

2) How PH Won WSOPE ME w/o Knowing Hole Cards

Want to know how Phil Hellmuth did some crazy things he's worked on his whole life, ran over the field at the 2012 WSOPE Main Event and won his 13th WSOP bracelet?

Phil Hellmuth
Has no idea what his hole cards are right now.

You can this Saturday, May 17, in a LIVE Webinar (with the help of host Jonathan Little) for the low, low price of $99! (Price goes up to $199 after the live broadcast for video recordings.)

You'll find out how he didn't even look at his hole cards (half the time), played the best poker of his life and he'll share all the strategies he employed that worked so beautifully.

You'll also be able to download the videos and mp3s so you can watch or listen to the entire training over and over. Sound appealing? Find out more and register here.

3) Cesternino and Somerville Read Survivor: Cagayan

After watching this season of Survivor play out we still can't believe Kass has a shot to win and Garrett was back doing push-ups at Ponderosa before he could even get into a dangerous negative-body-fat medivac scenario.

garrettadelstein
We still believe in you, Garrett.

Still, it's part of the magic of Survivor. You just can't anticipate how things will play out when you put 16 strangers on an island with TV cameras.

As we've noted before, poker and Survivor have a wide range of intersection not only from a strategy/game theory perspective but a growing legacy of actual poker players (Jean-Robert Bellande, Jim Rice, Garrett Adelstein) who've taken a stab at the $1m.

If you like poker pro Jason Somerville (and we do) and former Survivor castaway Rob Cesternino (and we do), you'll enjoy this special bonus cut of Cesternino's podcast featuring Somerville this week (and we did.)

Topics of conversation included some of that aforementioned crossover including Garrett's unfortunate fate, variance and game theory and, naturally, Daniel Negreanu's ongoing Survivor love affair. Listen to it right here.
