Got a tip for a future 3-Bet? Drop a note in the comments and we'll gladly take a look.

Today in the 3-Bet we get a chance to take home a piece of memorabilia from NBA legend Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins, marvel again at the video-game/poker prowess of Randy "nanonoko" Lew and learn just how the TV business operates like a drunk poker game.

1) Win a Chocolate Thunder Hat

OK. It's not a piece of glass from his legendary Chocolate-Thunder-Flying, Robinzine-Crying, Teeth-Shaking, Glass-Breaking, Rump-Roasting, Bun-Toasting, Wham-Bam, Glass-Breaker-I-Am-Jam.

But it is a pretty sweet hat, we bet.

2) Nanonoko: Video Gamers Have Natural Skills to Succeed at Poker

Dabble in the Frogger arts from time to time? You might not be able turn a few weekend gaming tournaments into a $1m poker career and pro sponsorship like our young hero Nanonoko, but you probably already have what it takes to be a solid online poker player:

3) Dish Chairman: TV Biz Much Like Drunk Poker

Dish TV Network chairman Charlie Ergen, who apparently "made a living as a card player in his younger days," spoke on a conference call about his company's current status/future plans recently and made an analogy about the TV business that, now that we think about it, makes perfect sense:

“I wasn’t a very good poker player, but when a bunch of drunken fools were throwing money around, occasionally I was able to pick up a pot at the end of the day.” he said. “It’s crazy how eerily similar it seems today.”

Beers Jukka
Makes perfect sense, really.

How do you profit in that situation, in TV or poker?

“You want to get as good cards as you can and you want to keep getting cards, and you want to wait and see until it’s all out there, and then you make your move,” he said. “I don’t know how to explain strategy other than that.”

We know pretty much nothing about the DISH network but something tells us we'll be hearing a lot more about them very soon. This guy sounds like he knows what he's doing. More from Forbes here.
