Phil Ivey and Viktor Blom were moving equally fast, but in the wrong direction. And the Asian whale MalACEsia was presented with yet another expensive invoice.

Five years ago, Patrik Antonius was the hero of online poker. At the end of 2009, his profits had amounted to almost nine million dollars. It felt like his run would never end.

Then Black Friday hit and Antonius was one of the casualties. Antonius didn’t have a sponsor and his live appearances became even less frequent and he couldn’t get much going online.

FakeLove888 – if that’s really him - has burnt countless dollars on PokerStars. It seemed that one of the online greats had lost his way.

Patrik Antonius Cues up the Comeback

Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey continues to struggle online.

Now Patrik Antonius has made another comeback. Particularly last Sunday, when he crushed the Omaha FLO8 tables on Full Tilt. His opponents were none other than Phil Ivey and Viktor Blom.

At the end of the night Antonius had added more than one million dollar profit within a week, which also took him to the top 5 online winners in 2014.

At the other end of the table, things are still getting worse for Phil “Polarizing” Ivey. Last week, he added $750.000 to his losses.

This year only Ivey has lost almost two million dollar online. He’s actually threatening to overtake Gus Hansen, who’s had a disastrous year online .

The biggest pot of the week was played once again in NLHE. The stakes were $300/$600, and the players were the usual suspects like Alexander IReadYrSoul Millar, MalACEsia, Trueteller, Dmitry Rhje Yaskevich, Christoph Tight-Man1 Vogelsang, call_911 and muha84.

It was folded to the button, Yaskevich min-raised from the button to $1200, Vogelsang 3-bet to $4500, and muha84 in the Big Blind folded.

Rhje wasn’t putting any brakes on, though, and after 4- and 5-bets, both players were all-in.

Showdown:

Rhje:

Tight-man1:

The board ran out in spectacular fashion. On the flop

Vogelsang hit his king and left Yaskevich only two outs. He hit both.

Turn and River:   ---

Quads for Yaskevich, and $140.000 were moved over to his bankroll.
