Be sure to hit up the comments to suggest your own 3-Bet pieces in the future.

In today’s Daily 3-Bet we’ll take a look at Viktor Blom crashing, Doc Sands stepping back from poker and a little something called Green Friday.

1) Blom Derailed, Hansen Gets Revenge

Gus Hansen
It's true. Gus Hansen booked a win.

It’s been an interesting week of high-stakes online poker with Viktor Blom getting crushed for over half a million and Gus Hansen losing but then getting some revenge yesterday.

Blom has been one of the biggest winners in online poker this year, according to highstakesdb.com but took a $523k beating this week.

The loss allowed Blom’s archrival Ben Tollerene to climb to the top of the profit charts on Full Tilt Poker this year with $1.5 million.

Meanwhile in a surprising turn of events Gus Hansen finally booked a big win last night.

Hansen turned the tables on online player taktloss47 winning a total of $284k. Unfortunately for Hansen that was pretty much the amount he lost to taktloss the previous day.

The Great Dane is still down nearly $1.56 million on Full Tilt Poker this year so he definitely wants to string a few more wins together ASAP.

It's been awhile since Hansen has booked a $300k win though, so maybe he should just take a moment and enjoy the feeling.

2) David "Doc" Sands Gets a Real Job

You can add David “Doc” Sands to the list of numerous young online poker players who have “retired” from the game.

Sands confirmed via Twitter that he was retiring from poker “…to an extent” because he took a job at a hedge fund.

“Learning how to place some bigger bets,” he said.

Sands has put up some pretty impressive live tournament results over the years with a collection of final-table appearances, a WPT $100k victory and nearly $6 million in total earnings.

Perhaps most notably Sands made the final four tables of the 2011 WSOP Main Event along with girlfriend Erika Moutinho.

Sands was eventually eliminated 30th for $242,636 while Moutinho just barely outlasted him coming in 29th place for the same payout.

Shaun Deeb, Mike “Timex” McDonald and Peter Eastgate are among the notable players who have retired from poker although Deeb and McDonald have since returned.

3) Full Tilt Payouts Bring Pure, Unbridled Joy to Poker World

The day some said might never come is finally here. US Full Tilt Poker players are actually receiving checks for their account balances that were frozen nearly three years ago.

As you might expect the US poker community is positively jubilant at finally getting their cash. If you want to warm your icy-cold heart, just check out the FTP payout thread. It's clear that people seem pretty darn stoked.
