While Phillip Willcocks took the overall chip lead with 515,000 the poker elite were shining bright with Antonio Esfandiari, Jonathan Duhamel, Scott Seiver, John Juanda, Jake Balsiger, Liv Boeree and Sorel Mizzi all finishing with respectable stacks.

It could make for a compelling final table although there are still two long days of play before anyone can even consider making the final eight.

Mizzi Looking for Yet Another Top Nine Finish in Aussie Millions

Mizzi is in a unique position at the Aussie Millions as he’s already finished third and ninth in the Main Event in previous years. For whatever reason the Canadian online pro always seems to bring his A-game to Australia.

Day 2 of the 2014 Aussie Millions wasn’t kind to everyone, however, as Patrik Antonius, Andrew Hinrichsen, Philipp Gruissem, Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and Elliott Smith were all elminated.

Aussie Legend Joe Hachem also busted on Day 2, after making some controversial comments about former WSOP world champions.

Gus Hansen, whose online struggles are reaching epic proportions, registered late on Day 2 but busted early.

Everyone else in the tournament is still hunting that $1.6 million up top for first place.

Here’s a look at the top 10 chip stacks after Day 2:

Phillip Willcocks – 515,000 Gareth Dwyer – 499,000 Martin Rowe – 463,000 Andrew Phaedonas – 405,000 Raymond Wu – 400,000 Matthew Gabriele – 375,000 Darren Rabinowitz – 368,000 Florian Bussmann – 360,000 Antonio Esfandiari – 349,000 Eoghan O’Dea – 345,000
