As of Feb. 1, Blom has amassed over $2.1 million on FTP according to highstakesdb.com.
The Swedish prodigy had no problem putting in tens of thousands of hands in a variety of games including FLO8, NLHE, 2-7 Triple Draw and PLO.
So far Blom’s biggest victim has been Russian Alexander “PostflopAction” Kostritsyn, who he beat for over $1 million in a series of massive FLO8 games.
Despite his strong play, Blom still can’t seem to get past nemesis Ben Tollerene who has won millions from the young Scandi.
Blom lost two big PLO sessions to Tollerene in January. It was one of the only smudges on an otherwise stellar month. Fortunately for Blom he was so good in the other games that he was able to erase the damage Tollerene dealt him.
Gus Hansen Dumps Another $1.3m on Full Tilt
So with Blom soaring, who is the biggest loser in the early stages of 2014?
That should be familiar name to high-stakes poker fans as, once again, Gus Hansen plummeted down the charts with $1.3 million in losses.
After losing big in 2012 and 2013 one has to wonder just how much more Hansen’s bankroll can take and when moving down in stakes becomes not just a suggestion but a necessity.
Since Full Tilt Poker relaunched in 2012, Hansen has now lost over the $13 million in the high-stakes games on the site.
