Today in the 3-Bet we find high-stakes kingpin Alex "Kanu7" Millar sharing the ups and downs of high-stakes life, Patrik Antonius takes an awkward Finnish dude for a ride in his Aston Martin and Mike "SowersUNCC" Sowers looking forward to his Full Tilt Poker refund.

1) Alex Millar: Playing High (Stakes) Can Be Surreal

If you've ever wanted a look inside the life of a high-stakes cash-game pro chasing profits from Viktor "isildur1" Blom, Alex "Kanu7/IReadYrSoul" Millar has delivered for you with his first-ever blog post taking us through his swingy-but-profitable 2013.

After a tumultuous year that involved an extended downswing, plenty of high-stakes craziness and several run-ins with Blom - one of the only guys who would give him action - Team PokerStars Online pro Millar ended the year up about $1m.

He's blown off $600k against Blom to start 2014, but still. It's a fascinating look at the inner workings of the big games and how tricky it can be to get the right action at the right time. An excerpt:

"My favourite poker moment of 2013 came when my girlfriend asked me if I wanted to eat dinner with her one evening or if I was going to keep playing poker.

"I was two-tabling Viktor Blom heads-up at 400/800. We both had about $120k at each table, and we were in the middle of playing a big pot on both tables.

"'Hang on' I said. I needed to think about what to do next. I went all-in on one table and then all-in on the other. Viktor called one, thought for a while and called the other. Both pots shipped my way.

"'Nice. I just won a quarter of a million dollars' I said. 'And he quit, so, yeah, dinner sounds great!'"

2) Antonius Takes Awkward Ride in $300k Aston Martin

Speaking of big winners online last year ... the one and only Patrik Antonius, back playing under his FinddaGrind nickname, managed to quietly book $1.7m in profit of his own on Full Tilt last year.

Which reminded us of how great is was back when Patrik was building his career/in the spotlight much more and we were treated to delightful interviews like this one with two odd Finns who may or may not know where they are and what they're doing. Needless to say, it's a delight:

3) Mike "SowersUNCC" Sowers Looking Forward to $500k FTP Payment

There were a lot of happy players to hear roughly $82m in Full Tilt Poker repayments is about to be released by the DOJ and should hit bank accounts some time in March before the end of February.

None are likely happier than Mike "SowersUNCC" Sowers, who's had to stare longingly at this $500k tourney-payout page for a long time.

Also note: How sick is this final 13 with Chris Moorman, Ben Tollerene, Chris Hunichen, Mickey Petersen and Mohsin Charania in it?
