The day began with 215 players of the original 1,031 looking to make their way into the money including Casey Kastle, Joe Cassidy, Amanda Musumeci and Dario Minieri.
Unfortunately for the aforementioned players they all busted before getting even a taste of the minimum $16k payout.
The money bubble finally burst when play got down to 151 players. A quick cheer went up from the tournament floor and the floodgates opened shortly thereafter.
Jared Hamby, Ole Schemion, Leo Margets, Brian Lemke, Noah Vaillancourt, Antonio Esfandiari and Jason Mercier were among the players quickly relegated to the rail but at least picked up some cash for their efforts.

Maria Ho appeared poised for a big run at the PCA as she had nearly 500,000 chips at the time the bubble burst but couldn’t keep up with the field finally busting in 85th place after losing a pivotal coin flip.
Dan Smith also looked like he might go deep but after smacking Ace-King into Matt Stout’s pocket kings he never really recovered.
A total of 72 players survived the day with Vanessa Selbst incredibly in the top 10 chip counts with 891,000 chips. Selbst has dominated the PCA in the past and won the $25k High Roller last year.
Some of the other notables to book their ticket to Day 4 were Jude Ainsworth, Marc-Andre Ladouceur, Isaac Baron, Vladimir Schemelev, Loni Harwood, Matt Stout and Jennifer Shahade.
Day 4 will begin at 12:00 p.m. tomorrow as the road to the coveted PCA final table continues.
