Sound appealing? Then you probably want in on this weeks' online qualifiers for The Shark Cage, a new TV show from PokerStars being filmed at four stops on the European Poker Tour this year.
What is The Shark Cage?
The Shark Cage will be eight heats in total filmed at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, EPT Barcelona, the EPT Grand Final and EPT London.
Each heat will have five top pros and one online qualifier playing for a seat in the final with $1,000,000 on the table for the winner - no deals allowed and winner take all.
Making things even more interesting are some unique rules including a 30-second clock to make your decisions, one-orbit penalties for getting bluffed or having your bluff called on the river and more.
How to Qualify Online
Online qualifier tournaments take place daily at 15:00 ET starting today, November 25, and run until November 30.
The top 50 finishers in each qualifier advance to the casting stage where you’re invited to send in a two-minute video audition. PokerStars will review all submissions and select two winners who show the most personality, enthusiasm and talent.
The first two heats of The Shark Cage show will take place at the 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA). Two qualifiers will win a seat in the heats plus a trip to The Bahamas including return flights for two, double room at the Atlantis and $800 credited to your room.
