The Team Online pro renowned for his multi-tabling ability and epic rise to $1 million in profit through the microstakes took it to the next level today with his new Guinness World Record.
Sitting down in the corner of the PCA tournament room, Lew blitzed his way through 0.815 cash-game hands per second on his way to 23,000+.
To officially set the record, Lew also needed to make a profit and he managed to do just that, squeezing out a miniscule $7.65 to make it legit.
At his lowest Lew was down $1,200 but jumped up in limits briefly to make it back into the black.
To help him get the maximum amount of hands in, PokerStars also upped its limit to 40 tables Lew could play on at a time - an astounding feat in itself.
Coming off a recent win at the APPT Macau Main Event, Lew told the PokerStars blog he's riding high after the successful challenge.
"Wining APPT Macau was pretty big, and having this right after, those two things are on the top of my list at the moment, to be honest.
"This is a great feeling. I finished it. I had a crowd. Everyone clapped for me."
Lew's record-setting effort, by the numbers:
Hands: 23,493
Hours: 8
Hands per hour: 2936.63
Hands per minute: 48.94
Seconds per hand: 1.23
FPPs earned: 22,784
