The German became the first back-to-back winner in the short history of the super high-roller Alpha8 tour last night.

Gruissem torched yet another elite field, this time overcoming 23 players, to win the $100,000 buy-in WPT Alpha8 St. Kitts event for $1.08 million.

Mike McDonald, Jason Koon, Tom McDonald and Scott Seiver all made the final table of Alpha8 St. Kitts but fell short of the ultimate prize.

Tom McDonald finished second to Gruissem for $679,000.

Gruissem is on one of the biggest high-roller heaters ever recorded. Last month he won the Alpha8 event in London for $1.3 million. Shortly before that Gruissem finished third in the WSOPE €25k high roller for $337k.

In addition Gruissem won the $50k high roller at the WSOP APAC for $863k and finished fifth at the PCA super high roller for $400k. The German is up to a staggering $4.6 million in profit in 2013.

Here’s a look at the complete payouts from WPT Alpha8 St. Kitts:
