
One of the marquee names to make the trek to South Africa this year and last for the Emperors Palace Poker Classic Nitsche must like what he's found as he's made the final six again by a wide margin.
Winning last year's 230-player event for $206,153, Nitsche returns to the final table tomorrow in third overall this time with 875,0000 in chips.
He trails leader Eugene Du Plessis with a commanding 2,635,000 chip stack (46% of the chips in play) and second-place Daniel Brits at 1,225,000.
Wiegand Also Goes Back-to-Back
Three short stacks will enter play tomorrow but one of them - Wesley Wiegand -- has been here before.
Just like Nitsche, Wiegand final-tabled the inaugural event at Emperors Palace last year only he went out in fourth.
He'll enter the final day in fourth again with 365,000. Rob Fenner (335,000) and South African local Ronit Chamani, who won the high roller event earlier this week, round out the final six.
