Well, technically, tomorrow is. But today marks the start of the playdown to poker's next world champion.

The much-scrutinized November Nine will reconvene at the Rio in Las Vegas to begin the quest for the $8.3 million first-place prize and esteemed privilege of being poker's de facto ambassador for the year.

Chip leader JC Tran has the edge heading in but as we've seen time and again, it's anyone's game -- including short stack David Benefield's.

All that's left now is the battle and, of course, the watching. Here's when/how you can tune in:

Lon McEachern, Norman Chad and Antonio Esfandiari will call the action on the almost-live broadcast with Marienela Pereira and Phil Hellmuth doing recaps on breaks.

Kara Scott will as usual conduct the exit interviews and provide the sideline color.
