The state will become the second one in the USA (the first being Nevada) to offer government regulated online poker.
Because Delaware has a relatively small population of fewer than one million people, it will consolidate poker site traffic under one network. There will be three separate portals to log-on through, however.
888poker and Scientific Games are providing the software for the new endeavor.
With Delaware set to launch and Nevada already operating with Ultimate Poker and WSOP Poker, New Jersey is lagging behind.
New Jersey has already licensed five online sites, however, and will provide access to a massive population of 8.8 million. The state is set to launch online poker in November.
As of yet any attempts to create a cross-state compact for online poker in the USA have failed.
