Reporter Geoff Foster published an article yesterday that said rumors were swirling in financial circles that Google was considering 200p share cash offer for Bwin.Party.

It may seem like an odd move for a search engine but Bwin.Party does have one at least one lucrative asset: The online poker company could have real-money games running in New Jersey before the end of the year.

Bwin.Party also released new software this week although it hasn’t helped their stock value.

Party Poker was the biggest online poker site in the world before they pulled out of the U.S. market in 2006.

Bwin.Party will launch its own Party Poker brand in New Jersey and provide the software for mega-casino the Borgata.

Meanwhile iGamingBusiness is reporting that industry sources have already dismissed the Google rumors.

Regardless, Bwin.Party’s stock value may have received a boost from news as the company jumped 3% since trading opened on Friday.
