Isildur1, 1II|1II|1iI| Take Control of High Stakes

After taking a break from the high stakes games for more than a week, Blom returned to PokerStars yesterday for a massive 3,358-hand session that saw him win $429k.

Blom stuck primarily to $50/$100 Pot-Limit Omaha and absolutely killed Ilari Sahamies heads-up.

Over the course of the day Sahamies, arguably the hottest player of 2011, lost $458k to his Swedish rival.

With just a couple days left in 2011, Sahamies’ record as the biggest winner of the year is suddenly in jeopardy.

Thanks to his massive loss last night Sahamies is down to $2.157 million in profit, which is certainly within striking distance for Rafi Amit who’s sitting on $2.105 million.

Meanwhile unidentified online player 1II|1II|1iI| continued his very strong play this week by owning Fake Love888 for $463k. After beating up on Fake Love888 1II|1II|1iI| moved on to win a few relatively minor sessions to boost his overall haul up to $529k.

This week has been a revelation for 1II|1II|1iI| as he’s up by $692k, which places him at over $1 million in profit on the year.

It’s been the complete opposite for Fake Love888, who is still rumored to be Patrik Antonius. Fake Love888 dropped a total of $638k and appears destined to be one of the biggest losers of 2011.

While Isildur1 and 1II|1II|1iI| stole most of the spotlight last night mTw-DaviN (+$92k), Sami “Lrslzk” Kelopuro (+$72k) and Jens “Jeans89” Kyllonen (+$48k) all had decent nights.

On the other hand Try_An_Hit (-$53k), Cinderella03 (-$51k) and anti-durrr (-$48k) all hit loser’s row.
