Radoja and Schneider Claim Gold, Katchalov Bounces Back

Canadian Radoja, who won the $5k No-Limit Hold'em Shootout in 2011, took down the marquee $10k Heads-Up Hold'em Championship.

Schneider, the 2007 WSOP Player of the Year, found his rhythm again to win the $1,500 HORSE event for his third career bracelet.

Meanwhile in the $5k Pot-Limit Hold'em event Eugene Katchalov finally caught some momentum of his own and bagged a top 5 stack after Day 1.

Radoja Claims Gold in Tough Final Four with Sulsky, Bonomo

Mark Radoja became the fifth Canadian bracelet winner already this summer with his somewhat surprising win in Event #16, $10k Heads-Up NLHE.

Radoja does have a previous bracelet but had to outlast an extremely tough field that included some of the best heads-up players in the world including Phil Galfond and Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky.

Radoja topped Justin Bonomo in the semi-finals to meet Don Nguyen, who busted Sulsky. Check out the highlights of their heads-up final in our WSOP live coverage here.

Phil Hellmuth, who made the final eight but fell short of his 14th bracelet, busted to Radoja in the Round of Eight. Final results below:

Schneider Clips Ahmed in $1,500 HORSE

In a battle of prevous bracelet winners in Event #15, $1,500 HORSE, 2007 WSOP Player of the Year Tom Schneider claimed his third career WSOP title.

Schneider topped Owais Ahmed heads-up for the win, thwarting Ahmed from winning his second bracelet.

The final 16 was stuffed with tough outs including Dan "djk123" Kelly, James "mig.com" Mackey, David Bach, David Singer, Dan Heimiller, Frankie O'Dell and Rep Porter. The final table and payouts:

Katchalov Gets Groove Back in $5k Pot-Limit Hold'em

It's been a tough stretch of poker recently for PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov with just one cash at the WSOP so far and just a few comparatively small cashes for the year.

He looks to have righted the ship a bit in Event #19, $5k Pot-Limit Hold'em as he finished the day with a top 5 stack of 87,000.

Dimitar Danchev holds the chip lead with 106,200. Dan "djk123" Kelly, Jason Mercier and Jason Somerville also bagged decent-sized stacks.

A total of 195 players bought in with 77 making it on to Day 2. The top 10 in chips:

Baker, Cada in Final 15 of $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em

Another 2,000+-player field has been whittled to just 15 with David "Bakes" Baker and Joe Cada among the survivors.

Baker is the overall chip leader with 1,384,000 in chips. Sam Taylor and Athanasios Polychronopoulos are right behind.

2009 Main Event champ Cada sits in the middle of the pack with 540,000. PokerStars pro Barry Greenstein also hung on with 367,000.

Players will return at 1 pm today and will battle down to a winner who will snag $518,755. The top 10 in chips:

There's still a long way to go in Event #18, $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em but Phil Ivey is in line for his first real deep run of 2013 with a top 10 stack.

Ivey bagged 71,100 to put him up near the leaders with 163 players remaining. Men Nguyen, Shannon Shorr and Matt Affleck also bagged up good stacks.

The top 10 in chips:
