It was a busy weekend of action as Ben “KidCardiff6” Warrington and Daniel Negreanu also earned SCOOP titles.
The only thing left for the 2013 PokerStars SCOOP is results from the massive main event, which is still ongoing today.
Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, Mike “munchenHB” Telker, Jake Cody and Ivan Demidov are among the leaders in the high version of the tournament.
Tollerene Tops $21k Heads-Up High Roller
If there was any event built for high-stakes specialist Ben “Ben86” Tollerene in the 2013 SCOOP it was Event 40-H $21,000 Heads-Up.
One of the best heads-up players in the world, Tollerene has gone toe-to-toe with Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and many others.
That’s why Tollerene certainly didn’t look out of place as he cut his way through the ultra-talented field to win $200,401.
Despite a field that included big-name heavies Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier and Justin Bonomo the final four was slightly lesser known.
Instead Dan “mrGR33N13” Colman, Yuri "theNERDguy" Martins and Finnish pro Sami “Lrslzk” Kelopuro tussled to set the final match.
The talkative Colman eventually made it through only to be bested by Tollerene heads-up.

While Ben Tollerene was winning the High version of Event 40, Ashton “theASHMAN103” Griffin settled for winning the low version for $41,285.
The $215 buy-in Event 40-L wasn’t quite the marquee event like Event 40-H but it did draw more players – a total of 1,365 runners registered for the tournament.
David Williams, Vanessa Rousso, Jake Cody and COOP legend George Danzer were among the notables to play. Nacho Barbero was the only Team PokerStars Pro to cash, however.
Many of the big names fell but Griffin eventually earned a spot in the final heads-up match against jokkee_apart.
During the final match jokkee-apart brought up the idea of a deal but Griffin, who’s played more than a million hands of NL heads-up, wasn’t having it.
Instead Griffin went to win the tournament outright for $41,285.

Dutch high-stakes pro Ruben Visser saved the best for last, winning $168,957 in Event 44-H $1,050 NL Hold’em Wrap Up.
Visser smoked a field of 108 players to win his first SCOOP title (to go along with the WCOOP he won in 2008).
The final table was compelling in its own right with David Vamplew, Steve McNally and John “kleath” Leathart all competing for the title. Visser eventually beat Leathart heads-up for the title.
