Starting with a win at the inaugural WSOP APAC Main Event in April Negreanu has been on a tear he hasn't seen since 2004 with a fourth-place finish at the EPT Grand Final and a third consecutive major final table at the $25k WPT Championship last week.
He added another major feather in his cap last night with his first-ever major online title as he beat a field of 180 players to win the SCOOP $5k PLO Six-Max event for $216,000.
Even Negreanu, one of the most accomplished poker players in history, is a little bit awestruck by his recent heater:
Won my first ever major online poker tournament. This last two months has been the sickest run of my career. So thankful and SO FUN!

Makarov, Ebanks, Carson Among the Fallen
Adding a bit of luster to Negreanu's heater is the level of competition he's faced along the way.
Big-name pros were stacked cheek-by-jowl at both the EPT Grand Final and the $25k WPT Championship and the SCOOP $5k PLO was no different.
Shaun Deeb, Jason Mercier, Ike Haxton, Justin Bonomo, Steven Chidwick... the list of PLO crushers went on and on. Also in the mix was 2010 SCOOP PLO Six-Max champ Alex "LuckyGump" Makarov, who Negreanu busted in 11th to take a massive chip lead.
At the final table with Negreanu were WSOP bracelet winner Joe "ender555" Ebanks and online legend Russell "rdcrsn" Carson, but neither could keep him from the title as he knocked them both out.
The official final six and payouts:
1. Daniel "KidPoker" Negreanu (Canada) $216,000.00 2. FA_Morgoth (Austria) $148,950.00 3. römpsä (Finland) $112,500.00 4. ender555 (United Kingdom) $76,500.00 5. leshkaGmBlZ (Russia) $58,500.00 6. rdcrsn (Canada) $40,500.00For a full recap of the action, check the PokerStars blog.
