Former November Niner Cheong earned $614,250 for the runner-up finish, adding to an impressive couple of months that includes a $1.3m win at the Manila Millions and a $500k runner-up in the $50k WSOP APAC High Roller.
Dan Perper was the only other player to cash in the WPT version yesterday with just three places paid. Perper earned $409,500.
Final-tablists Jim Courtney, Steven "Zugwat" Silverman and Andrew Robl went home empty-handed.
