Weekly UK 3-Bet: Full Flush Blow-Up, McCorkell Heat, Genting Backs ISPT

This week in the 3-Bet we bring you news of a brand-new blow-up from Luke “Full Flush” Schwartz, an online score from lone British 2012 WSOP winner Craig McCorkell plus casino group Genting UK getting behind the upcoming inaugural ISPT event at Wembley.

Any suggestions for a future 3-Bet can be left in the comments.

1) Full Flush Still Vocal at EPT London

It was good to see that there were no hard feelings as Luke "Full Flush" Schwartz turned up to play Day 1 of this year's EPT London main event.

The Grosvenor Victoria Casino, who are organizing EPT London, first banned Schwartz three years ago for refusing to take off his hat. That ban was eventually lifted but Schwartz was evicted yet again after refusing to pay for a pickle and cheese sandwich.

This year Schwartz managed to get through Day 1 without stealing any sandwiches, but his day wasn't exactly quiet.

In a hand against former EPT London final-tablist Adria Balaguer, Schwartz let loose with the same kind of wild trash talk that probably accompanied both his previous bans.

“You’re the luckiest f**king fish in the world ... You have zero table presence ... Even my sister is harder than you ... I bet you don't even make the money, I'll bet you your net worth ... You're just a shy little Spanish guy ... There's never been a good Spanish player ... You only had two outs ... I've seen 15 year-old girls with more table presence ..."

2) Craig McCorkell Wins PokerStars Sunday Warm Up

The only British player to return from Las Vegas last year with a piece of gold around his wrist is keeping the heater alive.

Craig ‘mcc3991’ McCorkell took down the Sunday Warm Up this week on PokerStars where, after a five-way chop, he walked away with top spot and the largest slice of the pie - $80,203.81.

His good friend and online mammoth Chris ‘NigDawG’ Brammer also made the final table, finishing in eighth place. Ever the professional McCorkell decided to ignore the bothersome task of sleeping and headed straight to Day 1B of EPT London where he was eliminated flush on flush.

Haven't had a massive amount of sleep but warmed up and ready for @pokerstarsept 1B today #coffee#EPTLondon

3) Genting UK Backs ISPT Wembley

They say that momentum begets momentum, and so it seems to be the case with the International Stadiums Poker Tour.

It was just a fortnight ago that the Dusk till Dawn poker room surprised the poker world by announcing a partnership with the ISPT at its official press conference at Wembley. Jaws were left hanging, in particular, after DTD owner Rob Yong declared his intention to offer a €1 million guarantee to the eventual winner.

Rob Yong
Dusk Till Dawn's Rob Yong broke more news about ISPT Wembley.

Well Yong has once again opened his mouth and more good news has poured out of it. The savior of the Wembley event has recently announced on the BlondePoker forum that Genting UK have also agreed to join the party.

Writes Yong:

Just had some really good news – I can confirm that Genting UK have now agreed to officially support DTD with ISPT Wembley, this will help us reach out to thousands more poker players UK wide at grass roots level by advertising, promoting and running ISPT live satellites across Genting’s UK casino card rooms directly into Day 2a and Day 2b at Wembley.

Simon [Trumper] and myself plan to visit every Genting card room beforehand to answer any questions their card room staff may have.

During ISPT week, transport will be provided to Genting’s London based casinos such as The Mint and Palm Beach, who will be hosting cash games at all levels. Genting are working on adding a Genting Poker Series ‘special Wembley event’ to the ISPT side events schedule and also moving June’s Genting Poker Big Game to Wembley.

I’d like to thank everyone at Genting for their support on this one.
