Running from April 4-15, 2013, at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia, the series will feature buy-ins from AUD$1,100 up to $50,000 and include a $10,000 Main Event.
No bracelet will be awarded for the $50k High Roller although a large turnout with many players from the high-stakes games in Macau is expected.
A Caesars Cup Invitational event, headlined by Joe Hachem, is also planned along with a complementary schedule of satellites, cash games and side events
The event marks the first time WSOP gold bracelets will be awarded in Australia as it joins North America, Europe and Africa as a World Series of Poker host continent.
The debut event of WSOP APAC will be a brand new format called "The Accumulator." Three starting flights will run April 4-6, each with a buy-in of AUD$1,100.
Players can buy in for each starting flight and chips accumulated on each separate day will be bagged and combined for Day 2. Players who bust on any day can play any or all of the other flights.
Each of the first four events will also be live streamed globally.

Addressing concerns it may be hard for players to make the long haul to Australia for both, WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart said:
“Most of the top players take multiple trips to European tournaments these days. The travel time to Melbourne is essentially the same as venues in Europe, and everyone who visits Crown can’t wait to return.”
