Along with Eames and Botond, Canadian Gillian Epp and Americans Matt Giannetti, Jonathan Tamayo, Josh Brikis and David Peters are all joining the IveyPoker team.

These seven players will strengthen a group that already includes Patrik Antonius, Jennifer Harman, James Dempsey, Cole South and 2012 world champion Greg Merson.

Get to Know the New IveyPoker Pros

Most familiar to armchair poker fans among the new signs will be Matt Giannetti. The 28-year-old from Austin, Texas finished fourth in the 2011 WSOP Main Event for over $3 million, and won WPT Malta the same year.

David Peters has been posting live results since 2007, racking up over $2.5 million live career earnings and $2.9 million online so far, while his fellow American pro Josh Brikis has almost $1.5 million in scores to his credit, including a runner-up finish at the WSOP.

Jonathan Tamayo has cashed at the WSOP 16 times, including a 21st place finish in the 2009 Main Event that earned him over $350k. He’s also earned over $1 million playing online as driverseati.

Eames, Epp, Botond Rep ROW

Bringing an international flavor to the IveyPoker team are Brit John Eames, Canadian Gillian Epp and Hungarian Balazs Botond.

Eames is one of the fastest-rising young UK pros on the live tournament scene. Already scoring big at the WSOP, EPT and GUKPT, Eames has earned over $1.5 million playing live tournaments.

Eames also has a strong background in online MTTs with almost $1.9 million in total earnings.

Balazs Botond has only been playing live tournaments for a few short years but is already just one spot off Hungary’s top 10 all-time earners list.

Botond has big scores on the WSOP, WPT and EPT, totaling over half-a-million dollars.

Gillian Epp has by far the least tournament experience among the group of new pros but she’s known as a working high-stakes cash–game player in Vancouver and Las Vegas.
