The pride of Helsinki, Finland, burned through 699 hands last night and spun up $65,000 in profit.
Sahamies alternated between $50/$100 PLO as well as a few hands of $100/$200 Cap PLO against a variety of opponents including alexeimartov, mTw-DaviN, Lagerborg and Terken89.
It was all part of a trend for Sahamies that has seen the Finn win nearly $1 million over the last 30 days.
The $65k victory will help distance himself even further from Rafi Amit as the biggest winner of the year on PokerStars with $2.07 million.
Martin “alexeimartov” Bradstreet took the most damage last night as he dropped just shy of $100k over 903 hands.
Fortunately the Australian can afford it as he is up $924k playing online poker in 2011.
The big names were few and far between last night although noted online grinder Kanu7 did pick up $47k. Kanu7 made the majority of his profits in No-Limit Hold'em instead of the standard high stakes PLO. U.K. sensation Gavin “gavz101” Cochrane also pulled in $44k.
Rounding out the top five biggest winners were smokeyumyum (+$61k), L0ve2playU (+$49k) and alex987 (+$48k).
Meanwhile former professional Warcraft 3 player Davin “mTw-DaviN” Georgi had some problems last night as he lost a total of $73k. Georgi now holds an overall profit of $220k, which has to be disappointing considering he was up nearly $500k in the summer.
The other top five losers included joiso (-$80k), Sussie Smith (-$42k) and Lagerborg (-$25k).
