Coming into the final table of Event 3, €5,300 Pot-Limit Omaha, with the chip lead Hairabedian maintained control before finally busting Mizrachi in third and then outdueling Mattila over several hours to claim the title.
Hairabedian earns €142,590 for the win and becomes the first French player to claim a WSOP Europe bracelet. Mattila took home €88,130 for his runner-up finish.
Mizrachi, who was looking for his fourth career WSOP bracelet, earned €62,749 for third and an important 50 points to move up to sixth in the 2012 WSOP Player of the Year race.
Mercier Out Quickly, Hachem Follows
The two other marquee names at the final table today struggled to get anything going.
Jason Mercier, who came in one of the short stacks, was the first to go when he called off with a full house to Jussi Nevanlinna’s quads.
2005 WSOP Main Event champ Joe Hachem lasted a little longer, busting in sixth place, but said little went his way:

— Joe Hachem (@JosephHachem) September 26, 2012The three Finns at the final table – Nevanlinna, Jussi Ryynänen and Mattila – were involved in many of the consequential pots of the day but it was Mattila who fared the best in them.
Nevanlinna ultimately finished fifth for €33,765 and Ryynänen fourth for €45,581.
Michael Schwartz and Michel Abecassis rounded out the final nine, finishing in eighth and ninth respectively.
