Obst and Marquez both made the final table of the Omaha Hi-Lo event while Petersen finished third in the $1k Hold’em event for a huge $160k score.
Day 19 should be another compelling one for WCOOP action as the high-roller friendly $2,100 6-Max PLO event kicks off at 14:00 ET.

Event 50 $1,050 No-Limit Hold’em
Danish pro Alex “AlexKP” Petersen outlasted over a thousand players to make the final table of Event 50.
In total the two-day event drew 1,308 players to create an overall prize pool of $1.3 million.
The majority of the field was eliminated on Day 1 with only 70 players returning to pick up the action yesterday.
The PokerStars pros had a bit of an off day with Vivian Im making it farthest, but still well shy of the money in 368th place.
The final 70 was made up primarily of lesser-known players although Alex Petersen was in the top 10 chip counts.
Petersen eventually entered the final table as one of the short stacks but won an early pot against Vojta_R to get up to over 800,000 chips.
The Danish pro finally busted in third place when he made an ill-timed shove with nine-six and was called by ace-seven. Fortunately they had made a three-way deal and Petersen earned $160,260 for his efforts.
Online poker player moukari6 would go on to win the tournament outright for $193,000.

Event 51 $215 No-Limit Hold’em [1R1A]
Russian online player Alexx Porter proved to be unbeatable on his way to a $76k payout in Event 51.
The event attracted 1,112 runners and once rebuys and add-ons were factored in the prize pool soared to $500,200.
Once again the Team PokerStars Pros were not exactly dominant with Vanessa Rousso lasting the longest, but only making it to 119th place for a $900 cash.
Instead Marty “TheLipoFund” Mathis was one of the only recognizable players at the final table.
The Californian pro entered the final table as one of the middle stacks but would eventually fall in sixth place when his jack-nine failed to hit against Benjaphon’s king-jack.
INSHALA82 would eventually go into heads-up play against Alexx Porter with a 2-1 chip advantage.
Alexx Porter would quickly erase the deficit and the pair decided to hammer out a deal. With $6,000 left to play for, Alexx Porter finally ended the tournament with ace-jack to INSHALA82’s king-queen.

Event 53 $320 Omaha-8
Event 53 offered the most star-studded final table yesterday with Ana Marquez and James “Andy McLEOD” Obst both in the running for a new bracelet.
Omaha-8 isn’t nearly as popular as Hold’em or regular PLO but the event still managed to draw 932 players to create a $279k prize pool.
Numerous Team PokerStars Pros were in attendance including Daniel Negreanu, Jonathan Duhamel, Chad Brown, Martin Staszko, George Danzer, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Eugene Katchalov and Marcin Horecki.
The final table began with James “Andy McLEOD” Obst as the chip leader with 1.2 million while Ana Marquez had 405,037. Ari “BodogAri” Engel also made an appearance with 511,808 chips.
The tournament appeared to be Obst’s to lose, as he busted Engel in fifth place and then went on to eliminate Marquez in fourth place.
Obst would eventually enter heads-up play with 3.6 million chips to Vlad_Radimov’s one million.
The Russian wouldn’t back down, however, and after an extended heads-up battle Vlad_Radimov landed the knockout blow when he rivered two-pair against Obst’s pair of kings.
Vlad_Radimov picked up $50k for winning the tournament while Obst had to settle for $36,348.
